Infima seminar in China 2019

Invest in Norway Seminar 2019: Jointly organised by Infima, Wikborg Rein and DNB Shanghai - September 17th, 2019 & Shenzhen - September 19th, 2019

The Chinese economy has grown tremendously over the past decade and has kept up its strong appetite for overseas investments. Infima sees itself as a bridge between Europe and China and is well-positioned to be the M&A advisor of choice based on our unique presence in both regions.

Ever since 2014, Infima has been an active player in China with our subsidiary in Shanghai, led by partner Dr. Xiaodong Feng and supported by a local professional M&A team. In addition, our M&A team in Europe frequently travels to China to develop and execute opportunities. The two teams work closely together in order to provide clients with both local coverage and international expertise.

Since 2015, Infima, together with our co-organizers, supported by the Norwegian embassy in China, organize annual investment seminars in China. The seminars are an effective way to introduce European business opportunities to Chinese investors and is welcomed by the Chinese business community.

This year, the seminars were organized in both Shanghai and Shenzhen. This was the fifth time we organized the seminar in Shanghai. In Shanghai, Infima has an extensive client base, who appreciate the yearly event, bringing new business ideas. We decided to include Shenzhen into our seminar itinerary this year since Shenzhen is a rising economic centre. We hope the seminar can help us better connect with the local business community and generate new leads as well as concrete business opportunities. 

Around 100 senior representatives from large corporations and investment firms attended the seminars. Overall, the seminars were met with positive feedback from our guests who appreciated the insights provided by Infima, the Oslo Stock Exchange, the Norwegian Consulates in Shanghai and Guangzhou, and our co-organizers.
